DevOps Conferences 2016

Automacon

Heavy Water’s goal in bringing AutomaCon to life was to create a conversation that spanned across the various disparate communities that so many of us — as devops practitioners — are members of. We love vendor–, tooling–, and platform–conferences (e.g.PuppetConf, ChefConf, HashiConf, AWS re:Invent, etc), and we derive a great amount of value from attending these events. We also appreciate community conferences (e.g. DevOpsDays, Chef Summit, etc) which are useful for different reasons. However, none of these events have satisfied our desire to discuss how we leverage these tools together in our day-to-day operations.

Other vendor-neutral conferences exist to discussany of the things related to our craft (e.g.DevOpsDays), and some exist to discuss very specific things (e.g. Monitorama), but we’ve been looking for a discussion to talk about all of the things — and for all the things to be considered in context of one another.
